Gary,
Just wanted to write you a quick note for a couple reasons.

I am the coach at Wheaton College (one of the teams at the meet yesterday at Coral Springs Fl) One of my swimmers Barrett, was the guy that swam beside you in both races yesterday. It was a thrill for him to race next to you and to have you say a few words to him afterwords made his week!

I have no idea your reasons for swimming yesterday, but whether they were for your training or just to continue being a great ambassador to our sport...BRAVO.

I think it is absolutely phenomenal what you are doing for world swimming...and especially sprinting. Good on you. I've been a big fan of yours ever since I started going to coach along side Mike Bottom at the Elite Sprint Camp at Kenyon College every summer. Mike tells great stories about you and his other sprinters and your training, racing and life in general.

If you speak to him tell him JP Gowdy says hello and cheers.

Anyway, keep up the great work on the newsletter, and all other fantastic things you do for swimming.

All the best with training and racing and keep playing the guitar.
cheers

JP Gowdy

Gary,

I really enjoy your website and newsletter! The Race Club and your site
are amazing accomplishments, and I commend you on all of your efforts to
further the sport of swimming. The idea of the race club is quite exciting.
It makes me want to come out of retirement and apply to the club right now.
Seriously, I think what you are doing for this sport is beyond fantastic! If
there is anything I can ever do, please let me know. I wish you and your
team all the best with your future endeavors! Keep up the great work.

Thanks,
Brock Newman

Dear Gary Jr.,

Great Idea ! The "Race Club" is the revolution in the Swimming World. Congratulations!!!

I am a fat 50 years old swimmer but I would love to help the "Race Club". A newspaper "Folha de São Paulo" published about the "Race Club".

FANTASTIC!!!

Race Club" is going to change the old way of treating the swimmers.

I hope you get a gold medal at Athenas and come to visit me in Rio soon!

Abraços (Hugs!)

Gary,

Just clicked into your site and wow , Great job ! You seem to always be ahead with new ideas and projects ( and always with a twist of humor ) I think it is great.

We met in New York in 2001 as I coached the European team at your sprint competion. I retired from coaching, now managing a large Tennis club, but my engagement in swimming is still there through ; masters-swimming ( broke 9 world records last year), personal coaching and mentorships for several athletes, my scholarshipfund, the team I built here at the Tennisclub, being with the Swedish National team on different trips in different positions ( like last year at the Europeans as a "Team-builder ") and swimming the Swedish National Championships this year, the 31st year that I qualified. Next year I hope to swim the Olympic Trials, the first time I swam the O. trials was in 1972..... as you can see , I´m a little crazy too.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I think you are doing a great job for swimming. The world needs more people like you !

Best Regards, Glen Christiansen

Hey Gary,

Well done with your Race Club concept..if only it were a few years earlier I would have been begging to come. Its good to see somebody with the (guts) to stand up and be proud as a sprinter. I have two small children now and I hope that one day they look up to me like the millions of kids who are following your career. Keep the flair that you are renowned for and I look forward to racing you at next years Olympics.

Regards,

Brett Hawke, (Australian record holder in the 50 meters long course and short course, 2000 Olympian)
